Meet Alan

Alan is a 26 year old who's upbringing left much to be desired. He was a bed wetter until he was nine years old. He was unkept, rarely had clean clothes, and was the twinkle in his Uncle's eye. No one actually knows what went on behind the closed doors of his home.

His Mother was uneducated and unable to obtain gainful employment. His father was a self professed musician for a band that could do no better than play low rent dives. They married and Alan was born about four months later. His parents were estranged soon after he was born, their relationship was "on again/off again" for the most part. His father found solace in bar room whores while his Mother slept with anything that provided her with a dollar.
He was bullied in school as he was fat, covered with acne, reeked of urine and had a severe case of halitosis. His parents never noticed his poor grades or lack of friends. He was, after all, an unwanted millstone around their necks.
He lived under the same roof as his parents, and no one ever noticed.

Alan never was able to please his father. His Mother, worn out and exhausted from waiting tables and turning tricks, had no time for him. The only attention he ever received was that which his Uncle gave him late at night while no one else was watching.

At 17 he left the dwelling he never knew as home. Working odd jobs he saved up until he could afford a cheap vehicle. For once in his life luck was on his side. He found an old Chevy Van for sale, bought it, and proceeded to make it his home. When he turned 19, out of luck and void of resources, he joined the Army. Once he served his contract he made an attempt to reconcile with his parents which failed.  He ended up staying in another state, living in his van, until his Father relented and brought him back to his residence.  A few weeks later, Alan found an inexpensive dwelling, moved in, bought a computer, and signed on to the Internet.

From this grew the monster we see today. Cold, calloused, unappealing, lonely. The worst of the social outcasts. He had the heart of a murderer but lacked the self confidence to act.
The Monster Unleashed
Posting anonymously, Alan was free to write anything and everything he ever wanted to say to and about the people in his life that made him so miserable.  After a while he began to extend his depraved attitude toward others online.  It didn't matter how old, what sex, which race or what religion.  He hated them all equally.

Not fitting in at birth had followed him into the virtual world.  In forums, chat rooms and social networks, he found himself still quite the outcast.  He began to hone his skills of deception that he had learned as a child.  One had to be deceptive living in a place where adults abused them in the night.  He became manipulative, plotting, a liar of the cruelest sort.  He played on the emotions of women, young adults, both male and female, and tried to make himself as small as the child that would hide up under the bed late at night.

He failed.

Little by little people began to notice his ways. His posts became erratic. He began making threats toward people. He began calculating what it would cost for him to get to the person of his interest. He created horrific scenario's where he would inflict personal and property damage. He allowed himself to fall into the behavior easily.
Those who were afflicted by his presence, threatened by his words, began digging for his information. They wanted to know who he was, where he was, and what he looked like. There were children in the homes of many of the people he threatened. They would be diligent until they found out all there was to know about Alan.

The day came when his own words compelled him to act. In his one moment of self assurance, he made a conscious decision to use this new found power for evil. He called a friend to meet him, too afraid to act alone, and the two traveled to a young woman's home in the night. He made it seem to his friend that he was playing a joke on his girlfriend.

Alan pulled up close to the house and put the car in park. He left the engine running. His friend, remaining in the passenger seat, didn't see him pull the paper sack out from under his seat. Alan got out, took a knife from the bag and slashed three of the tires on the automobiles parked in the girls driveway. He then placed a nasty, angrily scrawled note on the windshield of one of the cars and walked toward the back of the house. Out of sight from his companion, he pulled a plastic baggie out of the sack. He removed the rotting fish and threw it up into the back yard. He was hoping to lure her cat out. He intended to kill it.

A light came on inside the girls home, and Alan quickly moved back toward his car. A dog across the street alerted and the girls neighbor peered through the curtains. Alan jumped in his car and sped off, laughing. His friend, unaware of what had just taken place, laughed as well. Alan dropped his friend back at his house and drove the 22 hours back to his own home.

Investigators tracked Alan down but he denied involvement.  He admitted that he knew who had committed the act of violence perpetrated against the young woman in Florida but refused to identify him.  He offered to pay for the tires to ease his own conscience.  Escaping the long arm of the law, Alan then moved on to his next victim.

Alan's life since puberty had consisted mostly of internet relationships, so it was no surprise that he struck out to try and get laid.  He'd spent years, after all, honing his ability to judge gullibility.  Getting away with what he did in Florida was quite the boost in his confidence.  Now, for the next step.

The Prey

For the second time in his pitiful life, Alan gets lucky.  He becomes friends with a chubby divorced Mother of two claiming to be a victim of domestic violence from Pigsnout, WV.  Her name is Fawn.  She was once Pigsnout Homecoming Queen.

But, more about her later.  Let's get back to Alan.

Alan must be validated.  This means he must be convinced that you believe him.  That's his endgame.  He will go to extremes to prove it.  For example:

When he was doubted by others that he could light a cigarette with a set of jumper cables...he made a video.

When he was compelled to admit to the public that it actually was him at the girls house in Florida...he made a video.

When he needed to convince someone that he actually HAD a monkey to spank...he made a video.

When he needed to convince others he did too meet someone in person...he made a video.

Sadly for Alan, his endgame only counts if someone actually cares.  That's his fail.
